We do get asked from time to time a list of questions – so we thought we’d let you know the answers we recently gave to a potential customer who went on to book our services. Obviously, I have removed any sensitive data and gallery passwords, these are given on request only. Hopefully this extensive set of questions may save you time in deciding if we are the right photographers for you!

Both Photography and Videography:
The venue is not within Beds, Herts & Bucks – could you please provide me with the cost of travel?
There is usually no added cost for traveling to a venue, but please let us know where your venue is and we can quote!
Have you been to our venue before? If not then would you visit beforehand or usually scope it out on the day?
I personally haven’t been to the venue, because of the location I would scope this out on the day, I always visit earlier than our meeting time and make sure to walk around with the wedding co-ordinator.
Our wedding will take place on the Thursday (23rd Nov 2023) – are you likely to be covering other weddings that weekend?
Quite possibly, Friday and Saturdays are very popular so the weekend dates will likely get booked.
What is your arrangement with the videographer? How much experience have you both had and how long have you been working together?
We have been working together for maybe 8 years now. I chose Andrew and his team to be part of our packages because we work so well together. Andrew even filmed our promotional video!
Do you often shoot weddings that have a similar size and style to the one we are planning? (approx. 80 in the day and 130 in the evening)
90% of our weddings are between 60 and 100 guests during the daytime.
How much of a deposit do you require? When is it due?
25% deposit is required at the time of the booking.
What is your refund or cancellation policy?
If Photographer has to cancel this contract for reasons beyond their control (death, injury, sickness etc.) their liability shall be limited to a full refund of all monies paid. After a period of 14 days from the date of signing this contract, as compensation for loss of income the following charges apply as a percentage of the total fee due. 60 days or less – 100%, 61-90 days – 75%, 91 days or more – 50% (number of days before the wedding). Should the said wedding be a postponement, then, subject to availability, all money paid may be applied to the new wedding. In the event of Photographer taking another wedding booking on your cancelled date a full unconditional refund of your deposit and monies paid will be made.
What is the backup plan if you are unable to shoot my wedding for an unexpected reason?
We have a team of photographers, so we would always supply an alternative – this has NEVER had to happen but it’s good practice to have a backup should one be required.
Do you bring food along with you or would you like us to provide some?
We ask a question on our online planner regarding food, it’s a yes or no question so just complete that.
What information would you need from us before the day?
This is all on our planner, you’ll have access one you book.
The PMI for our venue is £2m – would this be okay for you? (most of the suppliers we have spoken to have been a bit surprised by this amount!)
We have public liability insurance to the value of £5M
Do you have a contract that we would need to sign?
Yes, this will follow once you confirm you wish to book.
Can we see the full galleries of a few of your recent weddings?
Yes – please contact us regarding this so we can send you our most recent ones!
What’s the turnaround time for the pictures?
Within 2 weeks.
Do you shoot digitally? With film? Or both?
Do you offer retouching, colour adjustment, or other corrective services? Are those included or an additional charge?
Mostly small edits are required, you will see examples in our galleries.
Can we order prints or albums directly from you?
Prints and albums can be purchased via your online gallery
How many pictures should we expect?
We always say 200+ but you would expect around 300
Do you have a signature style? Are any sent in black & white?
You should be able to gauge our style in our online galleries.
Who has the rights to the images?
We own the rights to the images but we allow you use of them so long as for non-commercial use.
Do you back up the images and for how long?
We back photographs up on to two drives and externally using cloud based software – we hold these for a minimum of 6 years
Do you have full length videos that I can view?
What is the turnaround time for the video?
Usually around 8 weeks
How is the final video delivered? If online then how long is it available for?
This is presented online and will be available to download for approximately 12 months
Who has rights to the video?
This is the same as photography.
Do you back up the video and for how long?
This is the same as photography
